As Northern Trust expands its digital capabilities to continue to deliver outstanding client service and outcomes to our Asset Servicing Clients, we are seeking an exceptional Sr. Human Resource Business Partner with deep experience in transformational change, talent strategy and organizational design consulting to help us deliver on our data and digital transformation and enhance our future of work.

Your role as a Senior HR Business Partner, is to serve as the primary HR relationship manager with senior leadership of assigned business unit(s) or geographies and ensure effective coordination between business clients, HR Consulting Function partners and COEs to strategically deliver HR solutions.

You will make an impact by:

• Serving as lead HR resource for the organizational transformation and talent plan aligned to business priorities, partnering with leadership to ensure alignment around success measures, develop approach and HR plan and timelines, and ensure implementation of transformation activities in the HR space.

• Assessing and identifying organizational enablers for success, including structure, processes, tools, talent, behaviors and rewards.

• Leading the development and implementation of new organizational design, including structure, processes, roles descriptions and career paths.

• Engaging various HR resources to lead implementation activities (e.g., creating new structures, roles, hiring, partner transitions, training/reskilling, designing new rewards strategies, performance management)

• Ensuring the change "sticks" through robust change management, especially surrounding training/ education, reinforcement of behavior changes and driving desired culture.

• Providing fact-based, data-driven analysis to help solve complex problems and identify meaningful solutions.

Your role requires creativity and agility to blend strategic foresight with "roll up your sleeves" execution through a design thinking approach, spending time with leaders and HR partners to clarify problems, generate and test potential ideas and iterate over time. You provide exceptional levels of collaboration, as you will be sitting at the intersection of the business, HR, and other support functions, including legal, risk, technology and finance. We're looking for someone to empathize with stakeholders across the board and be able to help us go beyond the status quo.

You will report directly to the Head of HR Consulting, Asset Servicing, who is based in Chicago. You may also be tapped to lead functional initiatives, cross-functional HR projects and/or serve as a mentor for others in the HR Consulting function.

You possess the following attributes that will enable your success:

• 10+ years of relevant, proven HR work experience and a university degree in related field

• Expertise in Organization Effectiveness/Transformation concepts, best practices and trends

• Experience with strategic consulting including application of the consulting process

• Proven ability to build relationships and communicate effectively with diverse set of stakeholders

• Ability to translate business conditions and objectives into organizational requirements

• Ability to plan and manage complex projects and programs

• Ability to use data and analysis to develop insights

• Ability to influence in situations without formal authority

• Effective facilitation skills - designs effective sessions and facilities in compelling and poised manner

• Strong communication skills with an ability to convey clear and concise messages both verbally and through presentations

• Proven experience partnering with senior executives, creating alignment and resolving conflicts
