Laundry Equipment Maintenance Level C $21.20/Per Hour at Alsco in Denver, Colorado

Job Description:

Alsco Linen Services is hiring for a B level Maintenance Technician / Machinery Mechanic position. 

 

Shift Schedule: Monday – Friday; 8:30am to 5:00pm. Occasional weekend work and/or overtime will be required.

 

The ideal candidate will have skills, training and work experience in the following disciplines:

 

• Electrical Systems: Single-Phase & Three- Phase; Circuit Protection; Motors & Drives.


• Reading schematics and wiring diagrams.


• Mechanical skills: machine trouble-shooting & repair.


• Fluid power systems: Hydraulic; Pneumatic; Water.


• HVAC Systems & General Plumbing/Piping.


• Strong understanding of Preventive Maintenance programs.


• Boiler plant and high pressure steam heat operations.


• Fabrication & Welding.


• Facility maintenance and general building operations.


• Automated Systems: Motion Control Systems; Process Control Systems; PLC’s; Electro-Mechanical Controls.


• Ability to work safely. Previous safety training a plus.

 

 

Qualifications:  Candidate must have effective communication skills and a positive attitude.  Must be dependable and have an attendance record that can be verified by past employers.  Highly motivated with strong “Attention to Detail.”  Basic PC skills are required (Word, Excel, and Outlook).  MUST be able to work as part of a team, but with limited supervision. 

Ability to speak Spanish a plus!

 

Education: 

Successful candidate will have a high school diploma, GED and/or some trade-school education. 

Must be able to speak and comprehend English, read English and write English legibly.

 

Physical Requirements: 

This position requires standing and moving throughout the plant during the workday.  Completion of maintenance tasks will require stooping, bending, pulling, pushing, working on ladders and in cramped areas.  The candidate must be able to properly lift up to 75 lbs.  Upon offer of employment, candidate must be able to pass a company required physical examination and drug screen.
