Job Description

Zendesk is looking for an experienced Incentive Compensation expert to join our Finance & Strategy team supporting sales compensation management, implementation, administration and reporting of 1200+ sales, marketing and customer success payees! Be a true business partner to Finance, HR, Sales, Sales Operations and Revenue Operations by bringing efficiencies to our existing comp processes and drive key corporate objectives through effective sales compensation plan management. Be a subject-matter-expert on sales compensation mechanics and reporting ensuring timely and accurate crediting, comp calculations and payouts.

Job Responsibilities:

Oversees the monthly administration of sales compensation plans, including reviewing monthly accruals and payments for a growing sales and services organization within established timelines around month end financial close and payroll deadlines
  • Maintain Payroll Calendars, Bookings data, Quota Credits, Comp Plan allocations, Credit Hierarchies and payout accuracy
  • Own monthly commissions, bonus and SPIFF calculations for the assigned business units (1000-1200 employees) in our Commissions Tool Xactly
  • Owns sales compensation plan administration. Establishes sales compensation program rules, policies and procedures
  • Weekly set-up of new hires and transfers, employee changes; review and audits of crediting and commissions, handling tickets; payroll processing and assisting broader team in monthly/quarterly close process
  • Demonstrated management style best defined as a "Player/Coach"
  • Maintains and challenges monthly and quarterly processes to ensure appropriate controls are in place to support month end accruals
  • Represents the commissions team in systems discussions to identify areas for automation improvements and drive process improvements cross functionally
  • Supports Sales Operations in developing and distributing plans and in ensuring integrity of data and calculations maintained in Xactly Incent
  • Manages system testing and documentation of results to ensure the Xactly configuration successfully passes all test scenarios
  • Help resolve employee disputes, tickets and critical issues.

Job Requirements:

  • 3+ Years' experience managing commissions processing, administration and systems for subscription based business
  • Ability to build partnerships and influence in a matrix organization
  • Ability to multi-task and work independently with minimal direction from management in a dynamic fast-paced environment
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to quickly summarize data findings and effectively communicate results to management
  • Superior Excel/Google sheets skills
  • Experience using and/or DocuSign
  • Excel at multi-tasking, can work independently, thrives in a dynamic, fast-paced environment
