Position Summary: Practice proper inspection, measurement, and machining methods per Standard and Procedures. Works with all team members to ensure continuity and good communication.
With minimal supervision, the Machinist will document material used and labor required on the Job Sheet.
Ensure accurate measurement and machining processes are performed in machine shop.
Aide Hydraulic Repair Technicians with accurate measurement, technical advice, and design processes.
Ensure all of the machining requirements or needs of the Fluid Power Center are fulfilled. Including but not limited to machining new parts.
Ensure all machining processes are to standards.
Address and resolve all customer requests, complaints and objections with a positive and creative approach.
Coordinate efforts with all appropriate departments and personnel to ensure customer satisfaction.
Work together with the Sales Team, Management, Engineering Team, Machinists, Hydraulic Technicians, Front Office Personnel and potentially customers; to develop and support excellent communication within the Stapleton Team.
Ensure that the highest level of customer service, ethics and teamwork are followed.
Ensure all work areas are organized, free of clutter and safe for daily operation. Perform all tasks with MFCP's best interest and safety in mind.
Adhere to strict Safety Guidelines.

Experience working with and on manual metal working machinery (i.e.: saw, drills, mills, lathes) and hydraulic components and equipment.
Proper machining techniques and best practices are required for the position.
Must understand measurement techniques and units including metric/SAE conversions and fractions.
Ability to read and understand mechanical drawings and hydraulic schematics.
Hands on use of precision measurement tools, industry specific testing equipment.
Excellent observation skills.
Good mechanical aptitude with the ability to detect technical discrepancies and malfunctions.
Excellent oral communication and strong relationship building skills required.
Detail oriented with solid organizational skills and the ability to prioritize and multi-task in a fast-paced work environment.
Understanding of the proper use of all machine tools, measuring equipment
Maintain regular and punctual attendance.
This position performs outside sales duties, employee must work in office as necessary for meetings and to complete administrative duties.
Must be physically present in the office to perform his/her job functions.
Physical Demands and Work Environment:
Ability to lift up to 70 lbs. occasionally and up to 50 lbs. frequently. Frequent grasping, reaching, standing and walking with occasional bending and kneeling. Work environment: primarily inside, workshop environment involving working at a machine tool(s) in relatively close proximity to other machinist. The physical demands, and work environment reflected, are representative of those encountered by employees when performing the essential job functions.
