Maintains TSG's effectiveness and efficiency by assisting Director with defining, delivering, and supporting strategic plans for implementing network and telecommunications technologies.
Plan, devise, build, configure and commission telecommunications equipment, networks, and systems, including voice, data, and digital data systems. Identify the requirements and determine the cost of equipment, devices, and services.
Recommends information technology strategies, policies, and procedures by evaluating organizational outcomes; identifying problems; evaluating trends; anticipating requirements.
6. Monitors the configuration, set up, maintenance, and upgrading of the organization's LAN, WLAN, and WAN systems, network software, hardware, and voice systems, among others. Plan and assign work for installing, operating, and maintaining network and equipment, such as routers, switches, firewalls and other network and telecom infrastructure.
Supervise the installation of the latest facilities and locations, as well as document issues concerning telecom systems and maintenance. Manage the installation of fiber optic cabling, structured cabling, switching systems, voice mail, and telephone systems,
Assists Director with vendor relationship management in the areas of infrastructure, network, data, and telephony.
Minimum Qualifications
Education: Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Healthcare Business or equivalent work experience required.
Experience: Minimum of 8 years of IT experience and a minimum of 2 years of management experience including direct supervision of staff level resources. Strong Cisco network and legacy telecom & VOIP knowledge and experience preferred.
Licensure, certification, and/or registration: Valid Virginia drivers' license and dependable transportation. Cisco CCNA or CCNP Certification preferred, ITIL Foundation Certification
Other Minimum Qualifications: Must be analytical, dependable, and detail oriented. Must possess strong interpersonal skills and have a command of the English language (both written and oral). Must demonstrate solid leadership and presentation skills. Must be self-initiated, have excellent problem-solving skills, and be customer service oriented.
