Job Description:

Summary



Provide activities to patients who have impairments, activity limitations or participation restrictions resulting from injury, disease or other causes. Collaborate with other members of the interdisciplinary team. Maintain and utilize technical, environmental and financial resources effectively and efficiently.



Key Responsibilities





  • Activities programs are promoted to build awareness and achieve attendance goals.

  • Individual and group activities programs are carried out according to established procedures, maintaining records of participants, and providing craft supplies, games, or other needed tools for the program.

  • Patients are transferred to and from groups per department guidelines.

  • Inventory of supplies and equipment is maintained per department standards as needed.

  • Additional department, organization, or network activities are completed per established objectives.

  • PCC Organizational Values of Innovation, Collaboration, Accountability, Respect, and Excellence are upheld.






Qualifications

Qualifications and Experience




Education/Degree



Required




  • High school diploma.




Skills (Specific learned activity gained through training (e.g. computer skills, keyboarding, presentation, CPR, ACLS, etc.)


Required




  • Must demonstrate effective verbal and written communication skills with the English language.

  • Computer proficiency required. Microsoft office applications preferred with ability to learn new software.



Preferred




  • Highly developed communications and interpersonal skills, working with diverse population.

  • Work independently, be self-directed and contribute as a member of a team.

  • Anticipates challenges and develops and implements strategies for addressing them.

  • High level of service delivery. Demonstrate initiative with ability to prioritize work, meet deadlines and adapt to changing situations.

  • Attention to detail.
