Job Description:

Working with and under the direction of the Sr. Administrative Director, provides data analytics, clinical informatics, and database management support to the Transplant Center and Division of Transplant Surgery. Develops internal database(s) for transplant clinical operations, QAPI, regulatory reporting, and financial management. Provides oversight and coordination of clinical, administrative, and financial data. Helps with preparing budgets, forecasts and targets as well as cost, expense and other data-related reports for management. Supports division operations and network development by providing data analyses, participating quality assurance and process improvement (QAPI) projects, and other database management duties as appropriate.



Database Management:



  • Works with the Sr. Administrative Director to develop and implement Center-wide database infrastructures, including clinical, business, financial, and operational data housed in an integrated database system.

  • Competent and facile in running regular and ad hoc data reports. Provides feedback to management regarding clinical and operational targets, monitoring of process and output metrics, and provides general oversight over database management and maintenance responsibilities.

  • Monitors monthly service statistics, including admissions data, OR statistics, etc. and partners with the management team to facilitate strategies for improvement in access, utilization and other revenue enhancements.



  • Creates, updates and distributes periodic reports for use and review by management. Analyzes and interprets results, presenting information, trends and recommendations to management.

    • Develops monthly status reports for all GH and PO funds.

    • Reviews statements with Sr. Administrative Director, Chief, and other physicians as applicable; recommends and implements measures for cost containment as appropriate.

    • Prepares and presents various statistical reports, cost analyses and budget justifications.



Operations


  • In collaboration with members of the leadership team, participates in the development, implementation and evaluation of processes and procedures to support the operations of the Division and Center.

  • Works with the Sr. Administrative Director to develop, implement and monitor goals for program growth. Maintains effective working relationships with Marketing, Network Development and other personnel to facilitate program management and attainment of goals.

  • Provides feedback to management regarding financial targets, expense management and related matters to facilitate financial health of programs and the Division and Center. May lead division projects for financial/business improvement.






Qualifications


  • Bachelor's degree required in finance, business administration, health care administration, or related field

  • Minimum of 3 years' experience in accounting, research finance, billing and/or managed care required plus 1 year supervisory or leadership experience
