Who we are looking for:

The Alpha Platform Management Business Analyst supports the Alpha Platform roadmap by contributing to strategic initiatives in Alpha Platform Management and delivers new services and capabilities across the Alpha ecosystem.

The team you will be joining is part of State Street Alpha, the first open front-to-back platform.  Alpha harmonizes data, technology and services across the end-to-end investment management cycle so our clients’ teams can overcome silos, work smarter and stay in sync. The Alpha organization consists of Charles River Development and Alpha Services (Investment Manager Services and Alpha Data Services).  Together, we are driving the strategic vision for State Street into 2022 and beyond.

What you will be responsible for

As an Alpha Platform Management Business Analyst you will

  • Capture and document business requirements from clients, product management teams, implementation and operations teams and third-party vendors to support strategic projects

  • Define and deliver strategic performance analysis capabilities across all accounts and instrument types in support of Alpha Performance

  • Review and approve performance analysis results to ensure the highest standards of client experience are delivered

  • Evaluate third-party systems and solutions to extend Alpha Platform capabilities

  • Extend relationships across the Alpha, State Street, CRD and third-party teams to support the Alpha Platform Management team

  • Contribute to new strategic initiatives across the Alpha Platform Management team

  • Comfortable facing off with front office teams and portfolio managers

  • Strong written and verbal skills

  • Strong skills with Excel, PowerPoint, Visio, performance solutions

  • Strong ability to maintain focus and priorities in a dynamic setting

Education & Preferred Qualifications

  • Combination of financial and technical roles with performance experience preferred

  • Established SME in middle office and front office data, as well as financial instruments including derivatives

  • Established SME in Enterprise Data Management and Performance Measurement, Risk and Attribution Reporting

  • Experience working with teams across business services, information systems and enterprise applications

  • Experience working with investment managers and asset owners globally
