The Indiana University Alumni Association's mission is to activate and support the global alumni network - encouraging alumni to grow a lifelong connection with Indiana University, and inspiring their ongoing generosity toward each other and the university.

As we undertake our mission of activating and supporting the global alumni network, we declare three priorities. Each of these priorities is supported by strategies that will guide our efforts in the years to come.
Cultivate belonging - To ensure a welcoming, equitable, diverse, and inclusive community, we will challenge discrimination and our inherent biases.
Deepen alumni loyalty - To build the alumni community, we will learn how alumni identify with IU and each other, and then offer relevant experiences that encourage stronger commitment.
Strengthen alumni relations across IU - We will collaborate with IU stakeholders and support efforts to engage more deeply with their alumni audiences.
The IUAA brings more than 750,000 IU graduates together to support one another and Indiana University throughout their lives. The IUAA activates IU's powerful global network through live and virtual events, volunteer opportunities, scholarship programs, amazing IU content, and seriously fun traditions.
The association is a member based organization that connects alumni, students, and friends through communications, activities, programs, and services. Additionally, it develops and supports volunteer leadership, serves as a voice for alumni as the university evolves, and provides lifelong learning opportunities.
Fosters a connection to the IUAA, as well as promotes the interests of and understanding between IUPUI students- past, present, and future.
Builds a strategy for IUAA student engagement on the IUPUI campus.
Develops a strategy for the Jaguar Alumni Group within the IUAA Virtual Alumni Network.
Creates and delivers content that increases a sense of pride and belonging for current IUPUI students and alumni. How might we connect with Top 100, Jagathon, Regatta current and former student leaders?
Recommends how students might want to connect with recent alumni at current Signature Events, such as Regatta, Elite 50, Jagathon, and Top 100.
Serves as the IUPUI Office of Relations liaison to the IUPUI Student Foundation and Regatta Student leaders to explore opportunities for collaboration (inviting student leaders to IUPUI Alumni Leaders Dinner, Grad Fair, Hall of Fame, Weekend U, etc.).
Assists in the planning and execution of IUPUI Signature Events including, Alumni Leaders Dinner, Regatta Alumni Event, Weekend U and Hall of Fame.
Researches, plans, and helps execute student scholarship recipient engagement.
Performs 2 roles in the Alumni Association: Leadership for the Student Alumni Association (SAA), IUAA's official student group that collaborates on SAA outreach, Homecoming and all Homecoming-related events and a Team Member in one of the individual IUAA department.
Currently enrolled as an undergraduate student at IUPUI.
Excellent written communication skills and attention to detail.
Demonstrated experience creating communications for a defined audience.
Experience designing digital marketing materials for social media or other web-based platforms.
Experience with design software, such as InDesign or PhotoShop, is a plus.
Ability to work as a member of a team and bring a collaborative attitude to their work.
Ability to maintain open communication and be highly resourceful and self-motivated.
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
Demonstrates an eagerness and commitment to learn about the identities and cultures of various alumni and student populations, including but not limited to, alumni of color, LGBTQ+ alumni, and international alumni, and be dedicated to ensuring they are appropriately represented in communications.
