Position Summary:

Constellation Brands has developed ambitious sustainability goals, including environmental targets for water stewardship that help to preserve water for future generations. The Manager of Water Stewardship supports the Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) function and will be responsible for developing community-based water stewardship strategic initiatives, programs, and partnerships, as well as directing company and employee charitable contributions and volunteer opportunities for the water stewardship CSR focus area. The successful candidate will work collaboratively with departments across the organization and external partners. This role will report directly to the Senior Manager, Community Engagement.

Responsibilities:

• Responsible for developing and executing water stewardship initiatives and programs that are measurable, deliver value to the business, and align to company priorities.




• Direct and/or administer the charitable contributions and volunteer opportunities for the modeling responsible water stewardship for our industry CSR focus area.




• Manage current partners in the water stewardship area (e.g. The Nature Conservancy), and vet and assess new partners for company and brands in the water stewardship space.




• Advise on water stewardship best practices, benchmarks, competitive initiatives, trends, stakeholder perceptions/sentiments to help inform strategies, mitigate risks, and build company goodwill.




• Support internal and external water stewardship reporting requirements (e.g., Board of Directors, 10K reports, etc.).




• Collaborate with business leaders, CSR Engagement Team, and BRGs to develop and manage water stewardship initiatives and programs.




• Collaborate with communications team to build Constellation’s reputation and credibility as a water leader among external and internal stakeholders. This includes providing content to communicate water stewardship strategies and initiatives to investors, employees, consumers, and other key stakeholders.




• Stay abreast of water stewardship initiatives, programs, and innovative ideas from within and outside the beverage alcohol/CPG industry.

Education & Required Skills:

• 5 years of experience in, corporate social responsibility, or a related field; experience with Sustainability, water stewardship strongly desired




• Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field




• Strong project management skills




• Strong business acumen




• Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to collaborate and communicate effectively at all levels within the organization

Physical Requirements:

• Stationery position; working at desk/personal computer for extended periods of time




• Ability to travel commercially and internationally




• Primary work environment is professional corporate office
