Patient Services Aide at University of Wisconsin Hospitals and Clinics Authority in Madison, Wisconsin

Work Schedule:

This is a full time, 1.0 FTE position.  Shifts will be scheduled Monday-Friday 8:00 AM-4:30 PM with rotating weekend and holiday hours.  Hours may vary based on the operational needs of the department.

We are seeking a Patient Services Aide to:


  • Transport patients to and from nursing units and various therapy/laboratory areas while ensuring patient safety, comfort, and privacy.

  • Utilize information systems hardware and the Patient Transport information system to acquire and record transactional records regarding all transport requests.

  • Document pertinent transport information on daily log sheets and obtain signatures from clinical staff for all cancelations, reschedules, and confirmations of patient drop-offs. 

Education:

Minimum – High school graduate or equivalent.

Work Experience:

Preferred – Relevant patient care experience in a healthcare environment.

Licenses and Certifications:

Minimum – CPR certification or the ability to receive certification within 60 days of hire.
