Summary:
The Manufacturing Engineering Intern provides technical and support work for production projects. The work of the Manufacturing Engineering Intern is normally limited to a few specific areas such as design and development of internally used tools and engineering test fixtures and other assigned special projects. In addition to providing fundamental technical knowledge and skills, the Manufacturing Engineering Intern’s other major aspect of work is data collection input, work instruction updates, maintenance, record keeping and other assigned work. The position is a temporary, nonexempt, hourly position.

Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions. Provide limited technical knowledge in specific areas of engineering aspects. Ability to prioritize and handle multiple tasks and projects concurrently.

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently required to sit; use hands to finger, handle, or feel; reach with hands and arms and talk or hear. The employee is occasionally required to stand and walk. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 30 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision and ability to adjust focus.
The noise level in the work environment is moderate, typical of an office environment.
