About the Role - Senior Principal, Guidewire Implementations, P&C Insurance, North America
The successful applicant will have experience advising benefits insurance client executives, both business and IT, and experience leading teams for digital transformation, platform modernization programs and internal/external consulting engagements.

Responsibilities



  • Business Development - Builds professional relationships with client stakeholders, establishing rapport with key players. Builds mutually beneficial working partnerships with other areas or work groups; understands how each party adds value to the partnership. Recognizes when changing Client or leader expectations require a new approach and takes necessary steps to meet new standards. Understands and works with the Client's complex organizational realities and relationships in order to accomplish priority objectives. Applies insights on market drivers to create/identify business opportunities and/or expand into new markets, products, or services. Designs and guides proposal, RFP response and service offering summaries. Demonstrates understanding of Client needs and articulates interpretation and placement in value creation framework.


  • Project Management - Directs teams of global consulting, IT professional & subject matter experts in establishing complete business and functional requirements, then translating those requirements into actionable project initiatives with associated metrics. Creates high performing teams where members regularly learn from each other and adapt processes for improved team efficiency and outcomes. Communicates intentions, ideas and feelings clearly; listens attentively and actively confirms understanding to avoid miscommunication. Establishes and builds agreement among project team members for project milestones, resource requirements, timelines and measures of success. Consistently drives the project team toward exceeding expectations on the completion of project milestones and overarching project timelines.


  • Consulting Delivery - Leads team to develop concise and practical recommendations with a clear implementation path. Defines executive recommendations resulting in measurable improvements in Client's operating performance. Designs a deliverables roadmap and directs supporting data collection. Seeks out client input to better understand needs; develops ideas for how to meet those needs. Understands how Infosys' Global Delivery Model works, and the capabilities other parts of Infosys bring to the equation. Systematically breaks down complex problems or processes into manageable parts, using advanced techniques and charts. Acts to leverage all Infosys capabilities to enhance client value. Determines job or task requirements by breaking them down using complex categorization schemes. Oversees multiple complex budgets, protecting Firm profitability through effective management of the firm's resources. Motivates others to achieve desired outcomes by offering inputs and suggestions; cooperative and supportive of other's deadlines and pressures. Maintains positive, long-term working relationships with senior Client executives; is adept at focusing individualized attention resulting in consistent, high-level Client satisfaction. Consistently delivers accurate, clear, and concise messages verbally and/or in writing to effectively inform an audience. Has led teams conducting value analyses, impacting process metrics, organizational change, and technology development.


  • Thought Leadership - Provides leadership to new and emerging best practices within a "Building Tomorrow's Enterprise" business environment. Identifies and develops knowledge assets and introduces processes to improve their leverage. Builds social networks that enable knowledge and information flow. Facilitates development of appropriate Knowledge Management processes, tools and standards. Builds expertise in Industry areas of focus, contributes to development of Industry solutions, and can interact on par with Industry executives. Stays informed on developments in the Consulting Industry and areas of expertise. Seeks out continuous learning opportunities that develop individual skills and expands the Firm's intellectual capital. Stays abreast of developments in expertise areas and anticipates how they will impact the Practice/Firm.


  • Practice Leadership - Active member of Practice leadership. Plays key role in attracting broader interest and expertise in the Practice. Seen as the intellectual driver in key areas of the Practice. Creates highly effective, mutually beneficial relationships with direct reports, peers, and leadership to achieve organization and performance objectives. Recognized for the ability to address integrated, complex solutions with key stakeholders in client organizations in an Industry-sensitive manner. Actively shares experiences and knowledge gained on engagements with colleagues through formal and informal avenues. Actively supports talent acquisition in the Firm by participating in interviews, giving talks/presentations on campuses, and other recruitment-related processes. Helps team members develop their ability to anticipate problems by leveraging their past experiences so that they can work more independently. Provides frequent, ongoing feedback to Counselees on how he/she compares with peer group. Engages in dynamic expectation setting, changing goals where necessary, and contributes tangibly to the Counselee's success.


Basic Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree or foreign equivalent required

  • Minimum of 15 years of relevant work experience with three years of experience in comparable consulting services

  • Experience in P&C insurance - home, auto, pet, rental, etc. products

  • Experience in functional areas like policy administration, claims management, digital engagement, content management, virtual inspection, fraud detection, AI, or content management

  • Experience in digital transformation programs or modernization programs for P&C insurers

  • Experience in Guidewire platform implementations e.g., PolicyCenter, BillingCenter, ClaimCenter, etc.

  • Experience in problem identification, analysis, and recommendation -analysis of current state, root cause analysis, developing insights, identifying solutions, and designing future state

  • Excellent communication and presentation skills, both written and verbal

  • Proven ability to lead projects, facilitate discussions, and build strong and effective business relationships

  • Highly motivated with strong analytical acumen and problem-solving skills


Preferred Qualifications

  • MBA or equivalent advanced degree

  • Industry-related certification

  • Knowledge of other P&C platforms e.g., Duck Creek, Insurity, Majesco, etc.

  • Ability to collaborate with resources in global delivery model

  • Experience in leading programs using Agile methodologies

  • Demonstrate thought leadership, ability to conceptualize and drive new solution/service offerings, and take them to market
