The Player Services Supervisor assists the First Assistant Professional in the day-to-day management and supervision of the Player Services Team . Provides outstanding internal and external customer service to all colleagues, members, and guests of The Grand Golf Club.
Responsibilities
Serves as a representative of the Club, displaying courtesy, tact, consideration, and discretion in all interactions with other staff, management, members, and guests
Compliance with all Club Safety Regulations and participation in ongoing Safety Seminars
Follows all rules, policies, and procedures set forth by The Fairmont Grand Del Mar management
Assists the First Assistant Professional with scheduling and monitoring of schedule
Acts as department trainer; uses recourses provided during new colleague training and development
Operates to the standards set forth by The Fairmont Grand Del Mar
Greets each member and guest in a friendly, professional manner
Well versed and proficient in all areas of the golf operation (valet, range, bag, caddie)
Monitors each area of the operation for cleanliness, detail and support
Maintains a par level of amenity supplies and communicates ordering needs accordingly
Able to conduct Junior golf instruction (clinics/camps)
Assists Head Professional with tournament preparation and assists with various departmental needs as requested.
Attends resort Safety meetings when needed
Other duties as assigned.
Appropriately groomed to The Fairmont Grand Del Mar Standards
Uniforms must be pressed and clean with appropriate shoes.
When not to uniform, adhere to Club's dress code.
Strives to increase knowledge of business through training and seminars.
Qualifications and Skills:
Must be a PGA Apprentice in good standing and meet the requirements set forth by The Grand Golf Club management.
Valid driver's license required.
Excellent customer service skills.
Basic understanding of club repair.
Must be familiar with members, their likes and dislikes.
Knowledge of members' names.
Must be able to communicate effectively with members, guests, and colleagues. Understanding of English language is essential for communication with members and guests.
Two or more years of experience or relevant skill level.
32 hours, full time.
Must be able to work weekends/holidays/evenings.
Flexible schedule required.
Physical Requirements
Must be able to lift/carry 50 lbs.
Ability to drive golf carts, shuttle and storage vehicle
Able to work in cool and warm environments
Ability to work outdoors
Walking on uneven ground
