IT Leader - Purchasing at Cummins in Columbus, Indiana

Job Description:

We are looking for a talented IT Leader of Purchasing to join our Corporate Purchasing team, based out of Columbus, IN. (Hybrid)

In this role, you will make an impact among the following ways:

• Responsible and accountable to lead Purchasing IT which includes Source Contract, Procure-to-Pay, Supply Risk Management, Supplier Management and Analytics.


• Lead a team of IT Subject Matter Experts to deliver Source-to-Pay (S2P) solutions.


• Serve as IT Partner to the Purchasing COE (Sourcing, Digital Procurement, CRC, Diversity, Finance) Leaders.


• Partner with Enterprise Architecture and Solution Delivery of Purchasing function.


• Accountable for the ensuring the career growth and realizing the team’s fullest potential through coaching and mentoring.


• Participate as a key member of IT Management Team.

To be successfu in this role, you will need the following: 

• College, university, or equivalent degree in  Information Technology, Business or a related subject required.


• Significant level of recent/relevant work experience of at least 5 years, including supervisory experience, required.


• Supply Chain Purchasing functional knowledge in Source-to-Pay value stream; Process & data interaction with edge applications (upstream and downstream); with demonstrated business acumen and understanding of customer needs.


• Preferred: Stakeholder Management with a solid understanding of Cloud Hosting Platforms and how to leverage the capabilities to implement and scale IT solutions.
