Overview 

The MRO Specialist will design, develop, maintain, administer, and deliver a complete, parts and services program. The Specialist will be responsible to coordinate with the team to identify MRO, plant floor, and storeroom opportunities.

Job Responsibilities:

•    Analyze data for planning, material demand requirements, ordering and inventory analysis.

•    Place material and service purchase and manufacturing orders to meet production requirement, including blanket orders with supporting forecasts

•    Maintain open purchase order to keep planning systems updated with the necessary information such as critical dates

•    Schedule and release production orders according to priority, production schedules and forecasted demand requirements

•    Provides delivery date commitments on work in process and finished goods products to Supply Chain Manager

•    Prepares purchasing requisition, generate Purchase Orders, production work orders; work with supplier to ensure parts are delivered on time to Purchase Order schedules and/ or work orders.

•    Work with Accounting and Suppliers to reconcile invoices and payments and manage for performance improvements

•    Monitor inventory level to avoid excess inventory, inventory shortages and or inventory inaccuracies

•    Assist with cycle count reconciliations if needed

•    Work with Quality personnel to resolve supplier quality issued

•    Expedite material as needed

•    Participate in cost reduction projects

•    Work with the Program Managers to validate Master Production Schedule (MPS)

•    Create Finite Schedules based on MPS

•    Respond to Expedite Requests from internal customers

•    Works with and communicate effectively with key stakeholders, including vehicle integration, Engineering/ Business Development, Supply chain Manager/ Buyer, manufacturing and shipping and receiving personnel

•    Working with appropriate managers, assists in the continuous improvement of the processes

 

Required Qualifications

•    BS/BA degree required (focus in supply chain management, materials, or operations preferred) 

•    Minimum 3 years’ experience in planning/purchasing in a production manufacturing environment 

•    Experience in JIT/ Kanban systems and MRP

•    Ability to analyze data and identify significant trends, issues, and patterns

•    Ability to communicate effectively, both written and verbal with suppliers and employees of all levels

•    Excellent computer skill with a focus on analyzing data set using data analysis tools such as MS Excel

•    Experience with problem solving

Preferred qualifications

•    Experience with ERP and purchasing systems (Microsoft NAV ERP and Power BI software is a plus)

•    Experience in an ISO certified company

•    APICS certification

•    CPSM certification
