JOB PURPOSE: This position is responsible for supporting the procurement of goods and services from vendors at the lowest cost (TCO) consistent with considerations of quality, reliability of source, and urgency of need. Apart from sourcing, this position also supports some of transactional tasks associate with the procurement function. SCOPE: This position works closely with the procurement team and exercises judgment and discretion while implementing initiatives while ensuring compliance to established procedures and standards. The incumbent is expected to meet/exceed savings targets, meet the process efficiency KPI's/SLA's and meet the business needs in a timely manner. REPORTING RELATIONSHIPS: This position will report to the Head of Procurement Execution for US and although the incumbent in this position has no direct reports or people management responsibility, this person is expected to collaborate closely with others and demonstrate ability and willingness to take initiative and get things executed. PRINCIPAL RESPONSIBILITIES: - Procures equipment, material and/or services for business clients from approved requisition(s) in a timely manner for transactions between $25 kUSD and $50 kUSD in value. - Identify opportunities to consolidate volume with fewer suppliers and drive cost savings and develop new vendors wherever required - Help drive compliance to procurement processes and policies - Works with the finance department to resolve issues with invoice payment & rejected invoices etc. - Drive operational discipline and compliance to procurement processes, policies, guidelines and standards - Provide testing and evaluation support to DSP&C (Data, Systems, Process & Compliance department), IT for new systems, tools, and processes. - Train business requisitioners & procurement colleagues on procurement processes. - Assist sourcing managers to source & analyze quotations ($25kUSD - $50kUSD). - Support SQP (Supplier qualification portal) process as super-user on: Vendor Follow Up to complete templates, troubleshooting, info gathering from Foreign Suppliers, Vendor Name Change etc. - Act as the main point of contact for Users/Requisitioners on: Vendor Status, Requisition processing Status, PO Status inquiries. - Main point of contact Fleet Management vendor (i.e., Wheels): Transactional activities such as maintaining of records for Unpaid Violations, Transfers or account changes, Tolls Follow-Up, Surplus Vehicles, JDE charge number changes, Insurance Cards, Daily terminations etc. - Bachelor's Degree required: Supply Chain Management, Procurement, Business, Engineering or related fields preferred - 2-4-year prior experience in similar position and familiarity with ERP system such as J D Edwards or Oracle desirable - Strong analytical and communication skills. - Results driven.
