The Lead HRBP provides support and guidance in the planning, development, recommendation, implementation, and evaluation of HR functions, policies, programs, and practices in support of the organization's goals and objectives. This role serves as an effective and dedicated resource for management and staff with regards to recruitment, compensation, benefits, training, employee relations and communications. The incumbent must partner with management and staff to administer policies, programs, practices, laws, and government regulations in order to facilitate company success.
Primary Duties & Responsibilities
Partner with Talent Acquisition to support recruitment needs and maintain up-to-date data and records
Create and revise job descriptions in accordance with company practices, laws, and regulations
Build and maintain rapport with local high schools, trade schools and colleges
Provide advice and counsel to management and staff regarding personnel practices, policy, and employment laws
Listen to and conduct thorough and objective investigations with regards to employee concerns or complaints
Provide counseling, coaching, and support to management to effectively address employee relations issues
Work closely with management and employees to improve work relationships, build morale, increase productivity and retention
Assist with coordination of performance reviews and merit increases while ensuring compliance and equity
Participate in employee succession planning process to ensure appropriate plans are in place
Coordinate and conduct training as needed to ensure management is well-versed in areas such as Performance Management, Goal Setting, Succession Planning, Employee Engagement, etc.
Gather data and analyze trends for management reports, presentations, and development of solutions
Represent HR at management meetings, creating and presenting slides with pertinent information for the group
Maintain knowledge of legal requirements regarding employee management, record keeping, etc., in order to reduce legal risk and ensure regulatory compliance. Partner with the Legal team as needed/required.
Serve as HR Process Owner for the Quality Management System (QMS) and participate in audits
Ensure HR processes are documented, and site-specific policies, forms, and procedures are up-to-date and made available on the eQMS
Oversee supervision of Front Desk, ensuring the Receptionist is equipped to successfully execute his/her job duties
Work independently and exercise sound judgment in all activities
Actively work to improves systems, processes, and procedures to increase effectiveness
Participate in and/or lead HR projects and initiatives
Responsible for plant-wide communications such as bulletin board postings, announcements, job openings, policy updates, events, etc.
Organize various employee events and meetings
Coordinate information sessions as needed regarding any changes to job-related activities or policies
Coordinate communication and administration of benefits for new hires, employee life events, and open enrollment
Maintain employee personnel files as well as data within HRIS
Administer changes within HRIS and document accordingly
Ensure timely processing of all personnel changes
Education & Experience
Bachelor's degree, preferably in Human Resources Management/Business
5-7 years' proven success in a Generalist or HR-related role in a manufacturing environment
2+ years in a leadership role preferred
Skills & Other Requirements
Familiarity with standard HR concepts, practices, procedures
Familiarity with HRIS (Oracle is a plus)
Employee relations experience is a must
Demonstrated knowledge of local employment laws and regulations
Excellent time management skills with a proven ability to prioritize and meet deadlines
Ability to multi-task
Ability to retain absolute confidentiality of personnel issues/information
Excellent communication (both verbal and written) and interpersonal skills
Highly developed organizational skills
Proficient with Microsoft Office
Proven ability to effectively interact with all levels of the work force
Problem solving skills
Display initiative and creativity in all facets of position
Working Conditions
Office environment with some exposure to plant floor.
Physical Requirements
Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
Must be able to lift 25 lbs.
Safety Requirements
