Job Description:


The Pricing and Valuation function is primarily responsible for overseeing daily operations of the pricing processes, related regulatory and committee reporting, and associated activities for NTAM. This role will report into the Head of Valuations to develop and execute the strategic roadmap to build a world-class Pricing and Valuation organization to respond to NTAM's evolving valuation and regulatory requirements and needs. It will involve identifying, solutioning, and championing initiatives to build new capabilities such as increased automation, enhanced reporting and compliance with changing regulatory requirements.

KEY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

•As a member of Pricing and Valuation, drive excellence across this practice. Responsibilities include:
•Perform the day to day responsibilities as it relates to security pricing, fair valuation, ASC 820/ FAS 157 leveling determinations and related reporting processes across all NTAM clients, accounts and funds.
•Review and research of halted, suspended and delisted securities to determine preliminary fair valuations.
•Engage in Pricing and Valuation capability development to respond to internal and external needs collaborating with Compliance, Risk and Fund Admin to advance NTAM's valuation reporting standards.
•Ensure governance and oversight of all fair value pricing methodologies and models. Periodic and regular stress testing of pricing models to ensure the models and documentation are in line with industry standards.
•Collaborate with multi-disciplinary teams to assess current state processes, capabilities required to successfully support evolving business needs, and adopt automation solutions to achieve scalability.
•Develop service levels with the business, establish a robust governance and control framework to ensure delivery of timely and accurate information, and monitor on-going effectiveness.
•Drive initiatives to strengthen the first line of defense, instilling a culture of continuous improvement and robust policy and procedure documentation and process to reduce operational risk.
•Monitor KPIs to measure effectiveness of pricing and valuation team.

NECESSARY KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS

•Understanding of the investment management business, multiple asset classes, pricing and valuation techniques, and investment/financial technology systems within an Asset Management setting
•Knowledge of global pricing and valuation regulatory environment and trends.
•Problem solving, analytics, influencing, facilitation and consensus building.
•Prior experience in unlocking new opportunities to drive excellence in reporting across various governance bodies and committees, including mutual funds' Boards.
•Dynamic relationship building and partnership skills; a strong collaborator with experience leading initiatives across multiple groups and stakeholders
•Outstanding communication skills, both written and verbal, with demonstrated ability to develop materials and effectively present to and persuade executive audiences
•Experience in driving digital and automation-driven transformation to drive efficiencies and scalability
•Strong situational awareness and decision making capabilities

NECESSARY EXPERIENCE AND EDUCATION

•Bachelor degree; Master in Business Administration and/or CFA strongly preferred.
•6-8 years of work experience in the investment management industry, in pricing and valuation function at a mid to large investment manager.
•Proficiency with investment as well as pricing, reporting and analytic tools and databases
