The Data & BI Analyst II, Diversity, Equity & Inclusion is responsible for providing actionable insights to support business decisions related to the firm's DEI strategies, objectives and commitments. The analyst will work in collaboration with other analysts and stakeholders across the organization on the formulation of appropriate analytic approaches to solve ambiguous business problems.
Responsibility Summary:
Qualifications Required in the Job:
Bachelor's Degree required with an emphasis in business, economics, math, engineering, or analytics preferred (or relevant work experience). Advanced degree or certification preferred. 3-5 years' experience in relevant field, with at least 2 years of analytics experience.
Functional Knowledge:
Proficiency interacting with various database and file storage systems (Examples: Oracle, Hadoop, NoSQL). Understanding of join types.
Experience with data manipulation languages, such as SQL, required
Leadership:
Ability to work effectively both independently and in a team environment. Independently organize, plan & prioritize individual effort needed to ensure overall success of cross-functional projects. Occasionally lead cross-functional teams responsible for divisional objectives or assist with the onboarding of other data analysts.
Problem Solving:
Ability to identify the question(s), what data is needed, analyze and interpret the results to recommend solutions to senior & executive leaders for a broad spectrum of business improvement opportunities in a clear and concise manner. Execute on projects of a moderate complexity which involve cross-functional teams, collaborate well with associates and leadership throughout the firm
Impact:
Develops and performs moderately complex analysis, typically with moderate to significant business impact. Works with leaders throughout the firm, providing analytical guidance to directly influence business decisions. While there are no direct supervisory responsibilities, coordinating with others to accomplish tasks and meet deadlines will be required, and may be asked to occasionally mentor and train other associates on the team. Influence decision making by gaining a deep understanding of interdepartmental strategies' impact on firm operations and initiatives.
