Role


The Program Manager role focuses on delivering commitments to our customers (TMO) through focused leadership efforts while utilizing core Project Management Principles.  The Program Manager is responsible for planning and aligning customer expectations with current capabilities while still maximizing potential opportunity.  This role will drive world class service, best practices and consistency throughout the entire area.  The Program Manager will drive progress of multi-project portfolios and will require leadership through the Initiating, Planning, Executing, Monitoring and Controlling & Closing phases.  This position may be assigned one or more key customers and serve as a point of escalation for issues related to project progress and execution.


Expectations



  • Focus on internally communicating and tailoring the Project Delivery processes 

  • Work with Project Delivery and other teams within the Tower Organization to identify roadblocks to customer deployment on individual sites prior to the Customer order being entered

  • Lead and manage the Tower Org response to tower/ground colocation opportunities as identified by Sales

  • Manage the response and due diligence of non-standard opportunities on Crown Tower and Real Estate assets

  • Participate in program-level planning

  • Work with Program Implementation Estimators, Sales, Sales Engineering and the customer to develop and confirm accurate scopes work both pre-construction and construction

  • Work with Program Implementation team to refine construction costs

  • Work cross-functionally within the Tower and Commercial organizations to manage RFP deliverables

  • Partner to create high level project plans and estimates to be shared with the customer prior to order entry

  • Use Crown Castle tools to gather and analyze data

  • Interpret Crown Castle data, process and operational requirements to prospective customers

  • Manage multiple projects and programs across the customer base

  • Plan and prioritize work to meet commitments as aligned with organizational and financial goals

  • Work with external and internal stakeholders to drive results for customers

  • Support Crown Castle initiatives, drive best practices and consistency across all areas

  • Utilize and promote Project Management Principles using both text book and pragmatic techniques

  • Assess and evaluate resource needs to support and sustain workloads across all programs

  • Act as the Area liaison between teams to help drive improvements or special initiatives

  • Use key milestone activity reports to drive progress and uncover inefficiencies

  • Build strong teams that apply their skills and perspectives to achieve a common goal

Education/Certifications



  • Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent work experience

  • Project Management Professional (PMP) Certification preferred


Experience/Minimum Requirements



  • Minimum of seven (7) + years in project and program management experience

  • Previous leadership experience through direct reporting and/or matrix environments


Organizational Relationship


Reports to: Sr Manager Program Management 


Title(s) of direct reports (if applicable): Project Manager, Associate Project Manager, and Project Coordinator


Working Conditions: This role falls into our hybrid work model working in your assigned office approximately 60% of the time (3 days per week) and where you do your best work 40% (2 days per week).  There is an expectation of collaboration with teammates and stakeholders for moments that matter that could require travel.
