This position is remote, but the person for this role will need to reside in New York City, NY or around the Hoboken, NJ area for the occassional meetings and visit to the client site.
JOB SUMMARY
Analyze select PV (Prime Vendor) customers ordering patterns and partner with the customer, sales, and logistics to drive better fill rates, ordering efficiency, and identify cost saving opportunities. Resolve vendor or DC related problems with regard to timing, quality, quantity and delivery.
Responsibilities
Improve customer forecast accuracy through demand analytics tools and collaborative planning
Analyze customer ordering patterns to identify areas for ordering efficiencies including UOM and ordering schedules to reduce freight fees and increase service levels
Analyze customer usage for all ship to's to identify opportunity for SKU rationalization and standardization for the entire customer group
Review all backorder situations to identify gap and resolution- including adding items to auto-sub, 3PL, or reroute/stock transfer options depending on the scenario
Coordinate with the customer and Medline teams to identify and assist with moving items purchased outside of the Medline channel into distribution
Develop reports and queries for sales management. Measure the trends, efficiencies and effectiveness of sales and resource allocation and utilization
Create ad hoc reports for sales and PVA teams as needed for business reviews
Enable and promote two-way communication, regular feedback loops, and overall collaboration between Inventory Management, Sales, and Sales support

Education
Bachelor's degree (BS/MS in supply chain, engineering, operations management, or math/economics desired)
Additional qualifications
Experience analyzing and reporting data in order to identify issues, trends, or exceptions to drive improvement of results and find solutions
Experience in controlling and coordinating concurrent projects, competing priorities and critical deadlines
Experience collaborating with (internal resources, external resources, both) to develop strategies that meet department goals within budget and established timelines
Experience establishing & maintaining relationships with individuals at all levels of the organization
Advanced skill level in Microsoft Excel
Advanced critical thinking that blends observation, data, and fact-based insight with intuition and foresight
Data gathering and quantitative and qualitative data analysis, including business process metrics and measures linking to business KPIs
Ability to clearly communicate results of analysis verbally and in written form

APICS certification a plus
Relevant Work Experience
At least 2 years of prior experience in supply chain planning, inventory management, procurement, manufacturing operations, or a field that demands complex quantitative analysis
Hands-on experience with modeling, forecasting, analysis and simulation tools
