Job Description:

An established acute care hospital located in western North Carolina is now searching for an experienced Medical Laboratory Technologist to join their award-winning healthcare organization.

This leading not-for-profit healthcare center is home to just over 200 inpatient beds and offers a variety of acute care, primary care, and tertiary care services. This location provides a number of award-winning services including cardiovascular care, oncology, surgical services, behavioral health, emergency and critical care, rehabilitative services, and much more.

The Medical Laboratory Technologist will join an accredited laboratory service line that provides inpatient and outpatient services including anatomic pathology, microbiology, clinical chemistry, transfusion services, histology, hematology, immunology, cytology, urinalysis, and coagulation. The Medical Laboratory Technologist will process and analyze specimens for testing, perform quality control, and act as an expert within the laboratory department. This position may be asked to step in as Supervisor if needed. 

Requirements Include:

• Associates degree in Medical Laboratory Technology 


• Completion of an accredited Medical Laboratory Technology program


• Certified as an MT/MLT by the ASCP or other approved agency
