This exceptional acute care hospital located in rural Northwestern New Mexico is actively seeking a Nursing Director of Med-Surg to join their fantastic team!

Directly reporting to the Chief Nursing Officer (CNO), the Nursing Director of Med-Surg will oversee the operational success and management of the assigned department. Reporting to the Nursing Director of Med-Surg will be a Nurse Manager of Med-Surg and 20 FTEs. Additional support for the Director will come from several experienced Charge Nurses and shift supervisors. 

This energetic Med-Surg Department has over 40 beds and provides vital care to a diverse patient population suffering from a wide variety of illnesses including but not limited to diabetes, post-procedural care, hypertension, and sepsis.. The Nursing Director of Med-Surg will have the opportunity to collaborate with a tight-knit team of MDs, other Nurse Leaders, and Executive Leaders to constantly improve the provision of care within the department. The Nursing Director of Med-Surg has the 24-hour responsibility of assessing, planning, implementing, and evaluating the delivery of patient-centered care to its diverse patient population. The Director will also assume the departmental fiscal responsibility and provide ongoing feedback to staff regarding clinical and behavioral performance. Aside from the experienced Nurse & Physician Leaders, this Director will still have the opportunity to cultivate and mentor new staff into strong health care professionals.
