PURPOSE:

The VP, Development will be responsible for the overall management for LINQ's development team. Responsible for the development and on-time delivery of multiple product lines. As a leader within the company, participates in setting the strategic goals & direction of the department. This position will report to LINQ's Chief Operating Officer.


POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Coordinate the efforts of the entire Development department including Engineering, Quality Assurance, Design and Documentation to help the company achieve its strategic objectives
  • Contributes to the development and implementation of research programs to assure the company competitive position and to meet long-range strategic goals
  • Development background with an understanding of effective product management methodologies and the ability to effectively collaborate with the product management function
  • Direct Development Team leaders and drive accountability for on time delivery with high quality
  • Evaluate, plan, and remove obstacles for the department to grow and support the company's strategic objectives
  • Provide guidance and planning assistance to the department leaders
  • And do whatever needs to be done to enhance the overall operation


ESSENTIAL SKILLS & EXPERIENCE:
  • Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Management, or related field, or possesses equivalent experience
  • Minimum 10 years experience in software development with 3+ years of key management experience
  • Experience of SaaS software development and agile development methodologies
  • Demonstrated ability to work both strategically and tactically
  • Strong business writing and verbal communications skills
  • Strong client orientation
  • Commitment to company values
  • Travel required up to 20%
