Role description:

Arcadis is currently seeking a self-motivated, Environmental Field Technician to support our Chicago, IL office's growing environmental project portfolio. This position consists of 100% field work, with local travel to and from job sites, with some office support. This position requires a hard-working, safe, efficient and dedicated employee that is excited to receive on the job training, working with a team, and able to work independently once trained. It will require work both independently and with other team members and may require periodic overtime and periodic non-local travel. This position offers an opportunity to learn about a wide variety of environmental projects and work with a great team.

Role accountabilities:


  • Groundwater Monitoring Well Sampling
  • Environmental Treatment System Water and Air Sampling
  • Environmental Treatment System Operation and Maintenance (O&M)
  • Soil Sampling
  • Remediation Injections
  • Community Air Monitoring
  • Subcontractor Oversight
  • Site Visits and Documentation

Additionally:

  • Strong communication and field documentation skills
  • Practice Safe Driving and possess a valid driver's License
