Kendal at Hanover has a unique opportunity for an exempt, 40 hour/week Clinical Educator. The successful candidate will direct a comprehensive education program for KaH Health Services staff based on evidence-based practices and maintain all aspects of staff improvement initiatives and development activities through planning, coordinating, implementing, evaluating, and monitoring community education needs. Specific responsibilities include:


  • Partners with Health Services leadership to provide instructional design and the development and delivery of educational curriculum and training.

  • Systematically collects, processes, and analyzes data, determining if staff are properly educated on the topics introduced.

  • Develops new and reviews current education and training, revamps educational topics/courses to help learners understand the topics.

  • Manages and reviews learning products that include online course, instructional manuals, video tutorials, learning simulations, etc.

  • Develops and plans a variety of instructional settings, techniques, and methods, including guest speakers, webinars, hands-on competency assessments, etc.

  • Develops an educational work plan that addresses the needs of the Health Services

  • Provides educational offerings to meet current clinical standards of practice in the aging services industry through means of data, assessment and collaboration with Directors and Administrators.

  • Develops, evaluates, and oversees the orientation process for Health Center staff, which includes preparing educational materials and coordinating resources. Assures that orientation checklists are completed in a timely manner.

  • Develops and manages staff preceptor program for new hires in the Health Center.  Provides regular follow-up as needed to new staff and nursing staff on all shifts to determine progress during the 90-day orientation period.

  • Offers clinical skills competence, education and testing that meets the work plan, federal and state licensure, and industry regulatory standards.

  • Actively participates in the Quality Assurance Committee (QAC) processes and addressing educational opportunities to improve quality outcomes and measures.

  • Instructs LNA, MNA programming as needed

Education and/or Experience                                          

Must be an RN with five or more years of experience in Training, Education and/or Organizational Development preferred. Infection Prevention and Wound Care certification preferred.   Experience in the planning, design, facilitation, and evaluation of training programs and organizational development projects. Experience with a variety of needs assessment methodologies and instructional design methods. Experience with e-learning authoring tools and learning management systems. Must be able to work independently. 

All Kendal at Hanover staff must be fully vaccinated against COVID-19. Medical and religious exemptions will be considered.
