Job Description:

CFCU Community Credit Union (CFCU) is in search of an experienced Relationship Banker. This individual will support CFCU’s member experience team by consistently providing members, potential members, and co-workers with exceptional service in person, over the phone, and through email. Successful candidates will thrive in a branch setting, as a business partner offering innovative technology solutions while empowering members to utilize the technology to meet their financial needs. The ideal candidate will have consumer loan sales experience preferred with products including, but not limited to credit cards, personal loans, lines of credit, and home equity products.

Responsibilities:

• Responsible for member satisfaction by addressing all financial needs of a member related to products, services, technologies, transactions, and education.

• Utilizes sales techniques to onboard potential members, determine member financial needs and recommending appropriate products and services including without limitation deposit accounts, loans, credit cards, and delivery channels to achieve those needs.

• Provides friendly, and accurate completion of all member requests including account openings, loan applications, servicing requests and transactions.

• To address and solve member issues and concerns in a friendly, professional, timely manner. When appropriate, use ingenuity and "thinking outside the box" within the assigned level of authority in order to solve problems.

• Ability to learn CFCU products and services to create cross selling opportunities for members’ relating to business lending, consumer lending and wealth management.

• To actively participate in the Sales Incentive Program, contributing to team and organization sales goals.

• Meet or exceed sales goals.

• To have a deep knowledge of CFCU products and services in order to accurately perform transactions within established time frames and according to policy and procedure. Transactions include, but are not limited to:

o Opening new memberships and accounts.

o Educating members and recommending, when appropriate, services and products.

o Accepting, processing, and funding consumer loan applications (including credit cards, auto loans, home equity products). When appropriate, referring members to Wealth Management, Mortgage, and Business Lending

• To act as a back-up to the branch manager when needed.

Desired Skills and Experience:

• High school education or equivalence.

• 1-3 years of experience working at a financial institution preferred (particularly consumer loan sales, processing, and funding with products including, but not limited to credit cards, personal loans, lines of credit, and home equity products)

• Prior customer service experience position considered.

• Proven technology abilities working with smartphones, tablets, and innovative teller machines.

• Skilled in engaging members/ prospects in a sales conversation and sales abilities.

• Excellent verbal and written skills. Courtesy, tact, and diplomacy are essential elements of the job.

• Ability to work independently as well as successfully in a team environment.
