Job Description:

Vector Security Networks is hiring a Project Manager (Remote). The Project Manager is the leader of a project team for the Service Team - security equipment on multi-site national roll-outs. Projects range from 1 to 2000 sites. This highly specialized PM position requires an intermediate to advanced knowledge of burglar alarm/fire alarm/video surveillance/access control systems. This is an exciting opportunity for the right candidate, who will be responsible for the application of knowledge, skills, tools and techniques to meet the project requirements.

Overview:

The Project Manager will work with Managers and customer to understand customer needs and goals. Create and provide a designed system based on customer requirements.  Establish the project scope, timeline and pricing.  Work with Project Account Team to prioritize and complete the proposals within the required timeline, keeping budget goals in mind.  Assist and direct the Project Team in compiling and documenting the scope of work to be completed for each project.  Solicit bids from local Technical Support Partners and negotiate labor pricing for each project.  Provide direction, motivation and leadership to the Project Team.  Review, prioritize and assess project tasks and performance.  Maintain a system of change order management.  Provide regular communication to customer and key stakeholders throughout the project.  Provide advanced technical support and program troubleshooting for the Project Coordinators and Technical Support Partner as needed.  Close out project and obtain customer sign off.

Main Responsibilities:

• Lead a project team; responsible for the application of knowledge, skills, tools, and techniques to meet the project requirements


• Manage projects ranging from 1 to 2000 sites


• Review and complete proposals


• Responsible to establish project scope, timeline, and money.


• Assign responsibility to project team members for milestones and tasks during a project lifecycle


• Establish a system of change order management documentation, and communication to maximize project profitability


• Review and approve subcontractor invoices and required closeout documentation

Key Skills and Requirements:

• Well versed in national codes and permitting requirements


• Able to understand and interpret site plans, including plans used by other trades, and commonly used symbols


• Must be experienced in manipulating/generating electronic security system layouts in AutoCAD and PDF programs


• Must possess intermediate to advanced knowledge of burglar alarm/fire alarm/video surveillance/access control systems


• Previous field experience preferred 


• Ability to travel
