Job Description:

The Miami Regionals - Middletown Campus: The Regional Assistant Director of the English Language Center (ELC) provides specific support for the day-to-day operations of the ELC and related programs on all regional campuses. Additionally, the Assistant Director participates in the marketing and development of the ELC and its programs. Diversifying and expanding the ELC's IEP student population is part of the job description. Being a positive team player is an essential element of the position. The Assistant Director is expected to be creative, innovative, and entrepreneurial to position the ELC as a market leader.

The Regional Assistant Director manages day-to-day operations of the English Language Center, including teaching one (1) ELC course per academic term; researches, develops and launches new English Language Center programs; conducts market research of potential markets and student recruitment in new locations; establishes and maintains stakeholder communication channels on and off campus; plans and leads extracurricular activities and events on and off campus and student orientations.

Required: Master's degree in any field with global educational/training experience in higher education and/or corporate education with an English language element and a combination of three or more of the following will suffice: Master's degree in language related field; TEFL or TESOL certificate (120 hours); 1 or more years of ESL/ELL classroom experience; 1 or more years of experience living in a foreign country; 1 or more years of experience teaching in a foreign country; 1 or more years of experience developing and publishing language related materials; 1 or more years of experience teaching online or use of LMS platforms; 1 or more years of experience working with young learners and adults from diverse backgrounds. Experience can be gained concurrently.

Position not eligible for H-1B sponsorship.

Consideration may be given to candidates with proficiency of Microsoft Office and Google docs; excellent communication skills (written, verbal, presentation); leadership skills; working knowledge of SNSs, LMSs, and MOOCs; excellent ability to understand and use English grammar terms; experience developing and leading staff and faculty training sessions; passion for global education and working with multi-cultural groups; entrepreneurial spirit in the development of short courses and specialized seminars.
