Field Engineers are generally recent college graduates who assist Estimator/Project Managers and Superintendents in the planning and execution of construction and asphalt paving projects. The Field Engineer is still learning the Barriere way of planning, scheduling, and executing projects. This position provides the opportunity to learn and apply technical, analytical, and safety experience to planning and executing projects. It is expected that Field Engineers will deepen their technical skills to include Barriere's scheduling software, GPS, and other technologies. This position requires strong interpersonal skills and effective communication at all levels, both internal and external

Key Responsibilities:

• Assist Estimator/Project Managers and Superintendents with all aspects of construction and asphalt paving projects


• Analyze data and present reports for decision-making


• Resolve worksite problems


• Proactively address safety concerns


• Assist Superintendents and Foremen in preparing 2-week operational and production planning schedule


• Execute daily plans with Superintendent and Foremen


• Participate in Job Set-up and Completion Planning


• Indirectly responsible for 1-2 concurrent projects up to about $5 million.


• Work on 1-2 concurrent small- to mid-size projects or 1 large project.

Requirements:

• Generally college graduate of less than 2 years.


• Prior experience on a construction crew a plus.


• BS in Construction Management, Engineering, or related field
