What you will do

Under general direction and in conformance with Corporate and Division Policies and procedures, you will will report to the Plant Controller, and support all aspects of operational finance, by maintaining the standard cost system, supporting the internal control structure, performing month end close tasks, supporting daily finance needs as directed by the Plant Controller.  You will lead financial control and accounting activities of to assure accurate and timely preparation, recording, transmissions, analysis and communication of data vital to control operations and achieve objectives. You will ensure the integrity of the financial information generated at the plant, and implement consistency and process improvements at the plant levels. Finally, you will spread financial knowledge to other members of the Operations team.

How you will do it

• Support standard cost rolls, physical inventories, and cycle count processes. 




• Maintain standard costing outlooks and actuals.  Perform standard gross margin analysis and variance analysis to drive BOM accuracy and understand product costs.




• Support PBU Financial Planning Cycles (Monthly Outlook, Quarterly Forecast and Annual Budget).




• Analyze current and past trends in key performance indicators including all areas below standard margin above gross margin.




• Monitor performance indicators, highlighting trends and analyzing causes of unexpected variance, providing insights and decision-making support to the business.




• Support Plant Controllers by helping them drive expected metrics with valuable ad-hoc analysis and reporting.




• Promote consistency in financial reporting to business partners.




• Support month-end close activities and drive any ad-hoc requirements that could arise including payroll analysis, and inquiries or follow-up with the Regional Business Center’s PTP or RTR teams.

What we look for

• Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance or related field.




• Intermediate level Excel skills – should be extremely proficient with troubleshooting and creating complex formulas and spreadsheets to meet finance needs.




• Candidate must be able to multi-task and prioritize needs.




• Must have excellent communication skills – may be asked to assist in formal presentation settings.




• SOX and/or Compliance knowledge




• Ability to manage tight deadlines, organize and prioritize work independently




• Proven analytical skills with attention to details and possess a high degree of accuracy




• Possess strong analytical skills in reviewing data to identify trends and opportunities
