Job Description:

Project Engineer - Project Manger, CI, CAPEX, CAD, SAP We are currently seeking a senior Project Manager/Project Engineer for our plant in the area south of the Charlotte market, a bit south of Rock Hill, at a local manufacturing facility.

This Project based Engineer will be responsible for providing continuous leadership and support to the plants in developing modifications/updates, with the goal of improving the existing equipment, process and products on a regular and ongoing basis.

This is a KEY and SENIOR role, reporting to the PLANT MANAGER, and will provide expert engineering support to the commissioning of various manufacturing equipment and processes, and this is a NEW ROLE, ready for someone with a strong project management background and an ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast moving environment.

This role will perform a NUMBER of tasks, but in essence, some of the TOP responsibilities, include:
"Providing engineering support to improve equipment, process, and/or products at the local plant.
"Supporting project management and engineering, assist in plans, directs and coordinates activities to ensure goals & objectives are accomplished within prescribed parameters.
"Identify and qualify external resources to add value to the existing teams, and work with outside vendors as required, to identify agreements on time, scope and cost of projects, schedules, etc.
"Defines specified project deliverables with PM and Engineering Review and publish reports on project activities to ensure quality and integrity of project
"Schedule, layout and organize larger projects such that the progress, cost and impact on production is adequately tracked
"Assist the project team and project activities with SAP applications system revise project proposals, obtains initial approval and review status reports, etc.

EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE

"We are seeking a DEGREED Project Engineer for this role, and we need those who are a fit, to bring a Bachelors degree to the role, and while not an ABSOLUTE MUST HAVE, we would PREFER engineering centric degrees, such as a BS in Engineering in: Mechanical or Electrical or Civil Engineering ( or similar, ideally)
"We are seeking a SENIOR Project Engineer/Manager with at least 5-10 years of TOTAL industrial experience, and AT LEAST 2+ years of experience managing small to medium scale projects in a technical, manufacturing, industrial setting/environment.
"Detail oriented and understanding of the following project management tools: Risk Analysis, Project Planning, Capital Appropriations, Project Tracking & Reporting, Problem Resolution.
"Capital Project/CAPEX experience at the plant level, with regards to planning, installations, improvements, evaluation and continuous improvements.
"Any Previous Knowledge of concrete manufacturing equipment, or other heavy duty manufacturing processes and equipment would be desirable and very applicable.
"Clearly and precisely explain and document any hardware/software projects as well as problems and solutions
"Experience with/knowledge of Fundamentals of Engineering (FE) a plus but not required
"CAD/Parametric tool experience - 2D and 3D design tool experience, with Auto CAD, Solid Works or equivalent is desired.
"Excellent problem-solving skills, and ability to juggle multiple projects, priorities, etc.
"Given the amount of interaction among different teams, managers, project leaders, etc....this role REQUIRED Strong communication and handwriting skills at an engineering level...you must be able to convey complex concepts and information in a way that will resonate with the target audience.

This work will be in an industrial setting, so this person needs to be prepared to work in such an environment, and will need to be comfortable with the following:
"This person will be exposed to sounds or noise levels that maybe uncomfortable
"Must be able to withstand exposure to temperature extremes inside or out
"comfortable with Prolonged standing or being in a stationary position
"Complete repetitive movements
"Bending and/or twisting
"Lift/move/transport items up to 50 pounds
"Ability to move or traverse about the facilities, and work around dust, chemicals, and other substances, and in various environmental conditions
"Wear all required personal protective equipment (hearing, vision and hardhat protection)
