Honeywell's ACST team is seeking an SrMechanical Engineer-CFD (Computational Fluid Dynamic) in either our Broomfield, CO or Golden Valley,MN locations.

The Honeywell team is looking for a highlyqualified Advanced Mechanical Design Engineer toperform design analysis using computational fluid dynamics (CFD) forunique industrial applications. The position is responsible for mechanicalmodeling & simulation related to custom hardware designs, gaseous andliquid flows, thermal analysis, with emphases on cryogenics, vacuum[KE1] systems, and systems subjected to multiphase flow conditions. Thisposition supports a scientific and engineering team in the design, fabrication,and assembly of complex mechanical devices.

Key Responsibilities

  • Analyze Using CFD and occasional FEA simulations for Flow and Thermal ResearchStudies using ANSYS Fluent/ CFX, Comsol or related tools
  • Apply Design tools, such as Pro-E/Creo and Solidworks, to support prototype design,experimentation, and manufacturing
  • Integrate mechanical designs with cryogenic, vacuum, and magnetic systems
  • Collaborate in cross-functional team environment


  • Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering
  • 5+ years of mechanical and design analysis using CFD, including flow and thermalcalculations
  • Expertise in CFD modeling using ANSYSFluent/CFX, COMSOL, or related tools
  • U.S.citizenship to obtain and maintain government security clearance


  • Master's degree in Mechanical Mechanical Engineering
  • Experience working with cryogenic systems, including supporting infrastructure
  • Experience with analysis of multiphase flow conditions
  • Familiarity with FEA analysis tools and techniques
  • Demonstrated comfort communicating with customers, partners and colleagues
  • Forward thinking mindset to pair early experimentation with design for manufacturing


Compensation & Benefits:
Salary Range:$102,000.00-$152,000.00
