Your role at Samsonite:

This position is responsible to manage all Domestic Tax Reporting and maintain compliance with IFRS and IRS requirements. Preparation and coordination of US Federal and State income tax obligations, transactional taxes, and audits. Assist with tax planning and tax technology initiatives. Involved in Global Financial Tax Reporting and Tax Provisions under IFRS. Manage a group of tax professionals. You will work on-site 4 days per week with the opportunity to work remotely one day per week.


  • Prepare US Federal tax returns for group, including supporting documentation

  • Preparation / Review of State & Local tax returns with supporting documentation

  • Assist with Federal & State tax provisions and financial statement disclosures

  • Manage Sales & Use tax process and compliance

  • Manage tax audits and notices from various tax authorities

  • Manage annual R&D tax credit calculation


We're excited if you have:


  • Bachelor's Degree in related field.

  • 5+ years' experience in a corporate tax group or public accounting firm

  • Supervisory experience

  • Strong proficiency in US State tax reporting and compliance; min of 25 states

  • CPA and/or Masters in Taxation preferred

  • Proficiency in Federal reporting and management

  • Strong analytical and organizational skills

  • Strong technology skills: specifically related to automating reporting and compliance; to include Excel, Word, HFM, SAP, One Source, SharePoint or similar
