RESPONSIBILITIES:

Kforce has a client in Towson, MD that is seeking a Payroll Specialist.

Summary:
In this role, the Payroll Specialist would be trained on processing payroll in Lawson, but they are moving to Workday. The Senior processes for the hospital which is 4,00 employees. The Payroll Specialist will be processing for about 600 employees bi-weekly. When they go into the testing stage for the Workday implementation, this person will need to understand all the payroll from the companies perspective. The Payroll Specialist will be responsible for the payroll processing and will work together with the part-time employee on expenses and garnishments. Payroll roles are under finance so there is the opportunity to move over to finance, and also get exposure to HR if that is a route that they are interested in.

REQUIREMENTS:

• System - Lawson - moving to Workday


• Experience with MS Excel - basic formulas


• Have a foundation with FICA tax limits, FMLA, Sick & safe leave in MD


• Candidates qualifying for this position will have similar experience along with the skills and abilities to perform the duties mentioned


• Any relevant education and/or training will be considered a plus
