Primary Function of Position
Intuitive is seeking a marketing leader to take on a newly developed role of Senior Group Manager, Corporate Clinical Marketing - Mature Procedures. In this role, you will serve as a player-coach. You will be directly responsible for developing, leading and implementing corporate marketing strategies and programs to maintain and grow global adoption for gynecology and urology procedures. In addition, you will lead a team responsible for other procedure areas where robotic-assisted surgery is established.
This is a cross-functional role within the organization, supporting commercial marketing within regions and strategic activities with corporate partners to enable optimal approaches to promote the value of Intuitive's portfolio of products to surgeons globally. This role serves as a connector between global clinical marketing teams, internal corporate teams, and the key customers we serve. You will work to set global marketing standards to support clinical marketing strategy, planning and execution as well as create globally-scalable resources that link clinical value of robotic-assisted surgery with Intuitive's enabling technologies.
The individual will be expected to establish strong relationships with external stakeholders (e.g. key opinion leaders, global surgical societies), as well as with internal Intuitive stakeholders including other marketing departments; surgical applications engineering; product management; sales; training; clinical affairs; legal; regulatory; commercial learning; customer learning and education; and global access, value and economics. The individual will be expected to utilize clinical acumen in a fast-paced environment while leading marketing strategy supported by programs and content creation.
Roles and Responsibilities:
Manage and lead a high performing clinical marketing team, embracing the Intuitive culture and employee professional development process
Determines goals and objectives for the team and drives high-level decisions that guide the work of others.
Be an internal global expert in gynecologic procedures to support clinical and marketing strategic priorities, programs and projects.
Develop compelling messaging, content and commercial assets for the portfolio of products for a gynecologic surgeon through deep customer understanding based on global market trends, landscape assessment, and audience insights.
Spearhead annual and 3-year global marketing plans for gynecology and urology utilizing data and analytics for market segmentation, persona development, journey mapping, messaging frameworks, and marketing execution. Effectively communicate and align plans with cross-functional marketing leadership.
Responsible for delivering programs and projects that enhances Intuitive's overall multichannel customer engagement strategy, inclusive of digital channels and strategic partnerships.
Collaborate with corporate campaigns team to plan, develop and execute impactful, audience-centric, integrated marketing campaigns to improve awareness, reputation and demand for the Intuitive portfolio of offerings.
Ability to connect technical capability of products to clinical value in the global market by working with product management teams to develop clinical messaging and positioning.
Build clinical marketing scale by implementing global marketing standards for strategy, planning and execution for product integration into procedure marketing.
Build strong relationships with regional commercial teams to ensure successful localization and amplification of clinical marketing content and capture voice of customer to inform future work.
Establish resource allocation and financial planning for projects/programs with measured ROI
Collaborate with clinical affairs and regional marketing to monitor and develop communication tools to provide the appropriate messaging and claims from published evidence that have a global impact.
Drive global surgical society strategy for mature procedures, including cultivating relationships with Key Opinion Leaders, with the goal of making Intuitive the preferred industry partner for robotic-assisted surgical care delivery.
Develops new or improved programs or processes that establishes and manages standards, or ways of working that positively impact multiple departments and teams.
Minimum 12+ years of clinical/medical, product, and/or surgical devices experience in a medical device company preferred. Prior marketing experience required.
Minimum Bachelor degree required, MBA or Masters degree preferred.
Demonstrated effectiveness in developing others
Results-driven attitude and a resolve to win; must be self-directed with the ability to work with minimal supervision, drive clarity through ambiguity, and manage multiple projects at a time.
Excellent interpersonal skills with emphasis on leadership, relationship development and influence management across a matrix organization.
Proven experience in adapting communication styles to accommodate cultural nuances or varying levels of management.
Superior verbal/written communication and presentation skills, teambuilding, and interpersonal skills to work across multiple constituencies.
Must be well versed in MS Office Suite.
Up to 25% travel. International travel required.
