Role:

The Customer Service Representative will assist customers and potential customers with their banking needs; involving paying and receiving cash and other negotiable instruments, explain services, sets up new accounts, and responds to problems.

Essential Functions & Responsibilities:


  • Working teller window (change orders, drive-up, night deposit, mail deposit, money orders, cashiers checks, safe deposit boxes, cash checks/money transactions, ATM cards, counting money, balance window)

  • Assist customer inquiries in person and over the phone

  • Open new accounts and account maintenance

  • Support customer online banking inquiries

  • Research (missing items)

  • Accurately maintain and balance a cash drawer

  • Review reports to ensure compliance with Government regulations and bank policies are being met

  • Process ACH and wire transfers

  • Answering phones

  • Maintain strictest confidentiality

  • Promote banks services and make referrals to other bank departments

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

Education and/or Experience.


  • One month to twelve months of similar or related customer service and cash handling experience

  • High school education or GED

  • Understands basic accounting procedures

  • Knowledge of office equipment

  • Has strong customer service skills and enjoys working with the public

Interpersonal Skills.


  • Work involves extensive personal contact with others and is usually of a personal or sensitive nature.
