Packer Operator- 2nd Shift

SHIFT: 2nd (2pm - 10:30pm)

PAY: $22.15/hour

Hiring Bonus: $500 on first paycheck and $500 after 90 days of employment

JOB SUMMARY:

This role is part of our Purina Animal Nutrition business helping our network of local cooperatives, independent dealers and other large retailers serve producers, and animal owners throughout the United States. Through industry -leading R&D and committed partnerships, we innovate the nutrition products and practices that unlock the full potential of every animal for a healthier, more productive life.

The qualified candidate will have the ability 40+ hours per week, work as a team player, be able to repeatedly lift 50 lbs, be mechanically inclined, comfortable with extensive computer work, operate forklift, and able to work in a fast paced job with high responsibilities.

Primary responsibility is operation of one of the packaging lines to all FQMS guidelines, verification of tags and bags to E1 information, product sampling, meeting production goals, restacking pallets, cleaning areas and equipment, and other duties as assigned by the supervisor.

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE:

Physical Requirements for production positions regularly include:

• Able to lift 50lbs
  
  


• Frequent movement including walking, standing, bending/stooping, turning, twisting, pushing, pulling, raising arms, lifting, climbing and other active movements
  
  


• Performing duties while wearing personal protective equipment
  
  


• Working across temperature zones that may include cold and/or hot environments for extended periods and may include work in environments where dust is present
  
  


• Shift schedules that include days, nights, and weekends, some holidays and periodic overtime
