Senior / Supervisor Accounting Services at Kforce Inc in Rochelle Park, New Jersey

Job Description:

RESPONSIBILITIES:

Kforce's client, a regional public accounting firm in Rochelle Park, NJ, seeks a Senior or Supervisor Accounting Services.

Responsibilities will vary by client assignment, and may include the following:

• Enter and process invoices in accounts payable


• Post sales invoices


• Maintain accounts receivable aging reports


• Post cash, wire, and credit card deposits


• The Senior/Supervisor Accounting Services will perform bank account and credit card reconciliations


• Perform General Ledger accounts maintenance


• Interact with suppliers to resolve accounting issues


• Work directly with client representatives to facilitate special requests


• Investigate and correct sales orders, supplier, and accounting discrepancies


• Identify areas for enhancements to general accounting and operations to improve efficiency and accuracy


• Perform additional projects and assignments in support of general accounting operations (as required)


• Manage inventory and resolve discrepancies


• The Senior/Supervisor Accounting Services will prepare work-papers for external auditors and for yearly tax preparation and interim financial reporting.


• 40 hour work week

REQUIREMENTS:

• Associate or B.S. degree in Accounting preferred


• 7 + years accounting services or bookkeeping experience out of public accounting or a multi-entity company with QuickBooks


• Must be analytical, with a background with financial transactions


• Good Excel skills, working with spreadsheets


• Sage Intacct preferred


• Bill.com and Expensify experience a plus


• Must be a team player


• Must be detail-oriented, flexible, and able to work well independently


• Occasional local travel to clients in NJ and NYC


• Personable and good communication skills


• Previous CPA Firm experience a plus
