Responsibilities and Duties

Develop, manage, and analyze division’s annual budget, including State and Auxiliary operations. Monitor financial performance of revenue producing contracts.  Maintain strong internal controls.  Develop strategies to promote continuous improvement of operational business processes, use of best business practices, and ensure efficient and responsible use of resources.Lead and support to the division by planning, designing, developing, and implementing short- and long-term projects. Create detailed financial reports and summaries on a regular basis for AVP, Administration and Finance and executive management, including President’s Council. Collect and compile data to provide CFO and other executive an accurate financial picture of university financials at any given point in time to serve as the basis for Executive level, data driven decision making.Oversee critical contracted services including leased spaces, tenant leases and food services. Ensure compliance with contracted terms.Oversee the practices, procedures and policies of departments ensuring compliance with all USM, state and federal guidelines and regulations while providing excellent customer service to the students, faculty, and staff.  Proactively collaborate with Management Advisory and Compliance Services (MACS) to address internal control matters.  Serve as division’s assessment coordinator; oversee development, coordination and dissemination of policies and procedures. 

Qualifications and Skills

Bachelor's Degree and 5 or more years of experience. Master’s degree preferred. Higher Education experience preferred.
