POSITION SUMMARY:
The Database Routing Specialist will develop and maintain labor standards and material routings for Morgan products. Also support Engineering Department projects related to new products and product/process improvements and support implementation of opportunities to reduce labor costs, improve quality and safety, etc.
KEY DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
1. Maintain labor standards and material routings on our ERP system. Requires understanding/knowledge of Morgan production processes, the Production Engineering function, product structure maintenance, etc.
2. Set up labor standards for our manufacturing processes that are fair to both Manufacturing (allowing for a quality job to be performed in a safe manner) and to Engineering/Sales (to ensure price-competitive costing)
3. Perform bill-of-material maintenance, item master maintenance, etc. as required to support new product development and product/process improvement projects.
4. Support analysis of proposed new products and the associated manufacturing processes in order to develop labor-costing estimates.
5. Update standards based on manufacturing process improvements and proposed new processes, methodologies, etc. for improvements in labor-savings, quality, and/or safety.
6. Effectively communicate with employees at all levels of the organization.
7. Work in cross-functional teams to support department projects.
8. Perform other related duties as assigned
EXPERTISE REQUIRED/MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
1. Morgan product/process/system knowledge
2. Associates or Bachelors degree preferred or relevant manufacturing experience desired.
3. Ability to read/interpret blueprints
4. Computer proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and ERP systems
5. Team player
6. The ability to organize and manage multiple projects
7. Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, both written and oral
8. Quality driven and attention to detail
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
Working in an office environment in a seated position a minimum of eight hours per day is required. At times, this job operates in a manufacturing plant environment. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk or hear. The employee frequently is required to stand (sometimes for extended periods); walk; use hands to finger, handle or feel; and reach with hands and arms.
