Develop & maintain departmental safety rules and safe work practices ensuring that each employee is working in a safe environment. Enforce safety rules and work practices within each department and conduct appropriate safety training.
Maintain and update warehousing instructions ensuring that we are conforming to corporate warehousing standards. Develop and improve warehousing techniques. Work with the packaging vendors to maintain quality, adequate stocks of materials and on time delivery.
Optimize the flow of materials to the warehouse and maintain accurate inventory records.
Manage departmental expenses to meet department budgets. Work with department employees to create cost reduction projects.
Review & monitor departmental equipment and supplies to make sure that they are available and in proper working order.
Support warehousing and inventory accuracy improvements.
Adherence to NSG/Pilkington Standards of Business Conduct and its’ Values and Principles.
Directs, and coordinates warehousing activities including put away and pick accuracy, cycle counts and organization
Responsible for maintaining an effective Quality System that is current, used, understood and maintained and to continually improve the products, processes and services and to ensure customer satisfaction.

Qualifications Required:
2 years of Supervision or 5 years of Production Experience
Production and/or Planning & Logistics experience
Analytical/detail oriented
Self-motivated
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Ability to work in teams, multi-task, and take leadership responsibility
Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience
Computer and software proficiency – including strong knowledge of MS Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)
Production and/or Planning & Logistics experience
Qualifications Desired:
BS or BA in Industrial / Mechanical Engineering or Logistics
