Mechanical Engineer Funded (200 Mill) Pre-IPO Robotics & Autonomous Tech Co. Seeks Mechanical Engineer! Clarksburg, MD!

We are a funded (200 Mill) robotics and autonomous technology company that has been in business for over 20 years that's looking to IPO soon! We are transforming government and commercial transportation with programs that include self-driving cars and trucks; autonomous shuttles; UAV; UAS; and drones. What You Need for this Position Experience with Autodesk Inventor, SolidWorks, or Creo
Ability to obtain Secret Clearance
Mechanical design experience in a field with tightly coupled electrical, mechanical, and software component
Thorough knowledge of designing for many different manufacturing processes, including machining, sheet metal, casting, injection molding, and 3D printing
B.S. degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field
Experience with Robotics, Automation, Medical Technology, or Aerospace (Plus)
Experience with Thermal/CFD and Structural Analysis software packages such as ANSYS, ALGOR, or ANSYS Icepak (Plus)
Experience with designing electric, hydraulic and pneumatic actuation systems (Plus)
Familiarity with ISO-26262, MIL-STD-882, or similar safety specifications (Plus)
Experience with Altium, Eagle, or similar schematic capture and PCB layout tools (Plus)
What You Will Be Doing Designing electro-mechanical systems for use on unmanned systems, including actuation, sensors, computers, cabling, and packaging for those items
Performing thermal, structural, and control analysis
Build, assembly, and test of prototype systems
Generating technical data packages, including solid models, detail drawings, interface control documents, and test reports
Supporting the manufacturing and assembly processes
Supporting field tests of robotic systems
Working to integrate components, subsystems, and systems with the Electrical and Software teams
Working with Systems and test engineering teams to generate requirements and test plans
Working with Program managers and lead engineers to establish and manage schedules, costs, and budgets
Writing proposals, white papers, and reports
