Director of Vehicle Safety Funded (200 Mill) Pre-IPO Robotics & Autonomous Tech Co. Seeks Director of Vehicle Safety! Clarksburg, MD!

We are a funded (200 Mill) robotics and autonomous technology company that has been in business for over 20 years that's looking to IPO soon! We are transforming government and commercial transportation with programs that include self-driving cars and trucks; autonomous shuttles; UAV; UAS; and drones. What You Need for this Position 10+ years experience in Vehicle Safety (can be component level)
Homologation experience
Functional Safety experience
Experience working with federal and state government regulations (e.g., DOT, FMCSA, NHTSA)
TUV, CFSE, and SAE Certifications in Automotive Functional Safety
Experience in developing, implementing, advising, and/or managing safety programs
Experience with ISO-26262, ISO-21448, MIL-STD-882, or similar safety specifications
Advanced conflict resolution and planning capability
Bachelor's degree in engineering or related field
DOT regulations experience working with commercial trucking preferred (Plus)
What You Will Be Doing Responsible for managing the Safety Review Board and Safety Management System to support a company-wide Safety Culture
Lead for all safety activities at every stage of development, testing, and deployment
Responsible for establishing and leading the Functional Safety (FuSa) Group
Collaborate with cross-functional teams for DVP & R planning and execution to support the shortest time to market planning activities
Responsible for defining vehicle safety technology roadmap for current and future programs
Responsible for identifying and adhering to the necessary regulations, processes, and standards (e.g., SAE, FMVSS, ISO, AVSC, MIL-STD) that are applicable to specific markets
