Reporting to the Associate Vice President for Strategic Initiatives in the Office of Institutional Diversity and Equity, the Training and Education Manager will develop and deliver informative and engaging educational training programs and workshops to foster the creation and maintenance of inclusive working and learning environments.
Bachelors plus 3-5 years' experience or equivalent combination of education and experience
* Three to five years of experience in higher education, human resources, training and development or comparable environments.
* Bachelor's degree is required.
* Excellent interpersonal and verbal communication skills- must be comfortable presenting to a variety of audiences.* Strong planning and project management skills.* Take initiative and be effective at working independently while balancing a multitude of tasks.* Demonstrated commitment to personal and departmental integrity, creativity, collaboration, and professionalism.* Expertise in PowerPoint and other presentation technologies.* Must be able to learn subject matter content in order to successfully perform this role.
* Master's degree in Student Affairs, Higher Education Administration, Social Work, or related field strongly preferred.

Training and Education: With direction from the Associate Vice President, the manager will develop a comprehensive training curriculum to ensure campus constituents are aware of best practices and the latest research related to diversity, inclusion and belonging. This includes:
· Developing and delivering of in-person and self-directed educational training and programs for faculty, staff, and student leaders with clearly identified learning outcomes and evaluative assessments.· Recommending new training topics based on emerging research and institutional needs in consultation with the program manager and director of diversity, inclusion, and belonging· Ensuring consistency in messaging across training programs and platforms.· Reviewing external training programs for use by the institution· Develop and maintain a repository of internal and external trainings related to diversity, equity and inclusion· Facilitating mandatory training on topics related to equity and compliance including Title IX, Non-Discrimination and Anti-Harassment, and ADA 504
