Allegheny College, a small selective national liberal arts college, invites applications for the position of Pep Band Director. The position is a part-time, 9-month, non-exempt position reporting to the Assistant Athletic Director for Game Management, Fan Experience and Marketing.


The Pep Band Director manages the overall performance of the Allegheny College Gator Pep Band. The ideal professional will work closely with the Assistant Athletic Director to create and execute a strategic plan to promote school spirit during both athletic and other special events. To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to implement our department and College mission and vision through positive leadership, collaborative skills and demonstrated desire to cultivate relationships; must have the ability to solve problems, make decisions, prioritize ongoing and new projects. Candidates should also possess excellent communication skills and other strong interpersonal skills. A bachelor's degree is required, as well as, 1-3 years' experience in directing athletic/pep or marching bands.
