Adjunct Faculty Organic Chemistry at Trinity Washington University in Washington, Washington DC

Job Description:

Trinity Washington University is seeking an adjunct faculty member to teach Organic Chemistry I in Fall 2022. The adjunct professor will guide 20-30 students through a course with inclusive practices, which currently include a flipped classroom and active problem solving. Classes start on August 30, 2022 and are on Tuesdays and Thursdays. The class session runs 12-1:15PM.

QUALIFICATIONS: Successful candidates should have earned at least a Master's degree from an accredited institution in chemistry or a related discipline and be able to demonstrate strong teaching skills.

Official transcripts for all degrees earned, sample course syllabi, course evaluations and/or other evidence of teaching effectiveness, and contact information for three professional references will be needed if the candidate is invited to campus for an interview. Knowledge of best teaching practices is required. Finalists will be invited to campus for an interview and teaching demonstration. Preference is given to candidates who demonstrate excellence with engaged and active learning practices.
