The Corporate Accountant reports to the Corporate Accounting Manager and is located in Mansfield, MA.


POSITION SUMMARY:


This role will lead the corporate location's accounts payable workflow and central fixed asset reporting. This person will also serve in a Treasury capacity to support the Assistant Treasurer by executing certain central banking operations. This is a great role for someone seeking to develop broad experiences spanning multiple accounting and finance disciplines and core competencies. This role requires a goal oriented professional with command of the details and a passion for continuous improvement.


This role will collaborate with other corporate departments as well as division and regional finance teams to accomplish objectives. The successful individual will be self-motivated and capable of managing multiple simultaneous priorities, a person of unwavering integrity, naturally inquisitive and driven to achieve success.


QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE:



  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance or a related field

  • 3-5 years of related accounting experience; public accounting experience a plus

  • Strong computer skills, including proficiency in Microsoft Office applications is required

  • Experience with Oracle JD Edwards or similar accounting system, and BNA fixed asset software a plus

  • CPA or MBA preferred


ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS & RESPONSIBILITIES:



  • Lead the accounts payable process for the corporate location; including weekly payment runs, managing invoice approval workflow, vouchering and coding invoices, and month-end accruals

  • Manage fixed asset shared services to provide complete and accurate book and tax reporting, maintain accuracy of division fixed asset registers and ensure appropriate capitalized and depreciation of fixed assets

  • Serve in Treasury capacity to provide central bank services, such as electronic payment processing, payroll-related funding and check deposits

  • Propose operational accounting policies and procedures designed to meet GAAP and TriMark policies

  • Record certain journal entries in assigned areas, including ownership of TMK Hawk, Parent Corp. entity

  • Maintain certain balance sheet reconciliations not directly related to assigned areas

  • Serve as key team member to partner with finance teams to drive successful annual audit outcomes

  • Assist with technical accounting research and analysis for complex business arrangements

  • Prepare balance sheet/income statement analysis to identify business drivers and ensure reporting accuracy

  • Ability and desire to travel to TriMark division locations throughout the United States

  • Other ad hoc projects or tasks as assigned

  • Attention to detail a must

  • Proactive and persistent follow-through to complete assigned tasks

  • Ability to independently perform technical accounting research and prepare accounting memos

  • Effectively prioritizes tasks to meet timelines and changing deliverables as necessary

  • Analytical thinker able to operate comfortably in the detail and translate results to clear, driver-based commentary
