What you will be doing:
Consistently offer professional, friendly and proactive elevated guest service
Anticipate guests' needs, respond promptly and acknowledge all guests, however busy and whatever time of day.
Maintain and keep up-to-date with all incoming communication from Corporate Starbucks about current/upcoming promotions and new products.
Recognize and reinforce individual and team accomplishments
Follow all cash management and cash register policies and ensure proper cash management practices are followed by team members
Ensure proper supplies, organization and cleanliness. Instruct designated personnel to rectify any cleanliness/organization deficiencies.
Participate in inventory and ordering
Assign work and side duties
Coordinate breaks for team members
Participate in talent management activities
Perform any other duties, tasks, and assignments within the division as required
Flexible schedule including early mornings, weekends, and holidays
Your experience and skills include:
Previous experience in food and beverage, with supervisory experience, an asset
High school graduate or equivalent vocational training certificate
Advanced Store Training Certified by District Manager an asset
Certified Barista Trainer an asset
Knowledge of POS systems an asset
Fluency in English both verbal and non-verbal
Ability to compute basic arithmetic
Proven ability to focus attention on guest needs, remaining calm and courteous at all times
Proven ability to work cohesively as part of a team in a multi-cultural, diverse environment
Proven ability to work efficiently in a demanding and fast paced environment
Computer literate, including good knowledge of Microsoft Office Applications
Strong work ethic, highly responsible, reliable
Physical abilities:
Exert physical effort in transporting (30 pounds) approximately 100 feet
Endure various physical movements throughout the work areas
Reach 1-2 feet
Remain in stationary position (standing) for 6-8 hours throughout work shift
Walking, bending, kneeling, use of ramps and stairs
